Return to Office Email
Dear AFGE Local 3928 Member,
We want to address the email sent to USCIS on April 27, 2025, after 5:00 PM EST regarding the Return to Office instructions. We understand that most of you are not scheduled to work over the weekend and are therefore not required to check your emails during your off time.
Please note that we cannot authorize compensation for logging into the work server to read this email. However, if your supervisor or another member of leadership contacts you and directs you to log in to perform work—such as reading the email—then you should be compensated for that time.
We have communicated this matter to our legal team and are awaiting further guidance.
We advise you to review the email on your next scheduled workday and follow the instructions provided by your leadership. If you have any questions, please direct them to your supervisor.
